One of the posters asked after Peter Brown today, and whether he is still alive. I'm pleased to be able to report that he is very much alive and well and living in a forest in Lincolnshire. He still dabbles in pottery and has passed his passion for clay on to some of his grandchildren. He has many other irons in the fire these days, and shows no sign of aging beyond the 90-odd years he has always been. Unfortunately, he doesn't make the frog mugs any more, even for his family...

Frog Mugs
My father, Peter Currell Brown (also famous for writing Smallcreep's Day) used to run a pottery called The Snake Pottery. One of his signature pieces was a beer mug with a frog in the bottom. I have not kept any of these, but if anyone has any information on them, leave a comment.
